Parkland
Par 69, 5942 Yards, Slope 121
- One of the oldest courses in mainland Europe
- Host to the prestigious Biarritz Trophy
- Quick to play and perfectly located for your first or last day's golf
Laid out by Willie Dunn in 1888 for the aristocrats holidaying in Biarritz, Le Phare is a pleasant parkland course with devious fairways and small greens.
With wind coming from the nearby Atlantic, Biarritz can certainly show its teeth and youll need to have all the shots of a links player to muster a good score. Surrounded by impressive villas, theres an easy-going holiday feel about the place and the lovely clubhouse and staff are first-class. Very flat. Just outside the centre of the resort.
