This is parkland golf at its very best and most demanding.
Designed by Tom Simpson and rated in the World Top 50, European Top 5 and host to the French Open 10 times, golfing pedigree does not come higher. In fact, it is the French equivalent of the Royal and Ancient and Nicklaus, Palmer, Watson, Ballesteros, Faldo and the like played here for the French Open. Much respect is paid to the authenticity of the layout and the whole set-up is very traditional. From the changing rooms to fairway cut, it’s a classic and once you’ve played here, you’ll know why it's so well-known in the best golfing circles. The course generally offers wide fairways protected by penal rough and perfectly-placed bunkers; the greens are subtle and quick and every hole presents a different challenge. A perfect golf course and only made better by the welcoming and time-honoured clubhouse. Mostly flat walking. One mile north of Chantilly.
