Chateaux et Hotels de France. Situated in the northern part of Provence famous for olives, black truffles and fruity wines, Chateau de Rochegude is perfect when you’re looking to explore rural Provence, enjoy the good life and play a little golf.
With a site dating back to the third century, Rochegude is historic, breathtaking and sumptuous. Today, the 12th- to 17th-century chateau lives on as a luxury four-star hotel with 25 individually-appointed bedrooms, a gastronomic restaurant and picture-postcard views from its hill-top position. Facilities also include an outdoor heated pool and tennis and a 10 hectare park with roaming deer. During much of the 14th-century, the chateau was used as a Papal Court and this “Hall of Justice” can still be seen today, along with many amazing artefacts. The Chateau was also licensed as a coin-mint and legend has it that there is still hidden treasure to be found!
