Set on the banks of the River Charente, Cognac has plenty of water hazards and also takes in woodland and the vineyards... a rather special setting.

Designed by the much-respected player and architect Jean Garaialde, Cognac is well maintained and not too demanding but does call for a strong finish on the excellent closing stretch. On the whole, this is agreeable holiday golf with a fine old farmhouse clubhouse, a warm welcome and Cognac displays on every tee (just in case you forget where you are!) Mostly easy walking but hilly in parts. Two miles east of Cognac.
