A prestigious member of the Small Leading Hotels of the World, the resort has been designed specifically to meet the needs of discerning golfers. So from the moment you arrive your wishes are taken care of. Golf is one of the few sports in which the term ‘fair play’ is still paramount and the hotel very much embodies that spirit.
The hotel runs on an ‘all-inclusive’ basis. Daily green fees, sumptuous breakfasts, lunches, drinks and dinner are ‘no charge’! You also have access to the Fairplay Spa and fitness centres and just pay for ‘a la carte’ beauty and health treatments.
The 82 bedrooms and suites are very spacious and are tastefully decorated in different styles, from traditional Andalucian to Asiatic. There are two double beds with hand-embroidered linen in each suite, a lounge area, individual terrace, huge ensuite bathrooms and views over the course or surrounding plains. The owner is a fervent art collector and has put his large collection of paintings and sculptures on show for all to enjoy.
With five distinctive restaurants to choose from, you certainly won’t go hungry. The French gastronomic restaurant is overseen by the Master Chef Philippe Jego, winner of the “Meilleur Ouvrier de France.” The cuisine combines timeless classics with more modern dishes and is served in a wonderful Provence-style dining room.
For those with exotic tastes, the Asian restaurant offers an opportunity to discover dishes from the Far East. There is also a sushi bar and Teppanyaki tables for a Japanese experience.
The Brunch room is the perfect start to the day serving hot and cold breakfasts as well as roast meats, fresh fish and terrines. The Brasserie by the outside swimming pool and golf clubhouse offers lighter meals and drinks.
The Spa has been designed to be the ideal complement to a round of golf by offering treatments to soothe the body. There are both wet and dry areas, waterfalls, a Zen garden with health bar, and an indoor pool. For non-golfers a daily spa treatment is included.
For days out we recommend visiting some of the friendly local towns and villages such as the medieval town of Medina with its cobbled roads and white walls. You can also play a round at nearby Montenmedio or try your hand at horseback riding along the National Trails using purebred Arabs from the hotel’s own stables.
