Hillside Golf Club is situated in Southport and forms part of one of England's finest stretches of coastal links being adjacent to Royal Birkdale Golf Club, and was designed by Fred Hawtree.

Part of the course is lined by pine trees which form a rather unusual setting for a links course. On the back nine the fairways run between dune valleys and feature more dunes than the front nine where the rough is taller. Many of the holes have elevated tees with fantastic views over the Irish Sea.
