House of Waine

Built in the 1970’s, this boutique hotel derives its name by the initials of the family members. It is situated in the Karen suburb of Nairobi just a mile from the famous Blixen museum. There are 11 individually styled bedrooms, all with beautiful marble bathrooms and views out over the gardens. Lunches and dinners are prepared with the freshest of local produce and served around the hotel grounds to give each meal a slightly different experience. The outdoor swimming pool has a bar for daytime drinks and the lounge bar is ideal for an aperitif. The Muthaiga and Karen golf courses are within easy reach and all transfers are provided.

Richards Camp

Owned and operated by an enthusiastic couple, this former family home has been turned into an exclusive tented camp. It is located on the edge of a beautiful forest in the Masai Mara conservation area. There are six spacious “tents” with shower, toilet and 24-hour lighting. Game drives, bush walks, bird watching and visits to local Masai villages are all included during your stay. Day trips to Lake Victoria are also possible from the camp.

The Sands

Unrivalled in terms of its idyllic location overlooking Diani Beach, The Sands is Kenya’s first coastal ‘Boutique’ hotel. It is crafted out of hand-carved polished mahogany, classic Venetian ‘stucco’ and traditional Swahili architecture. The hotel nestles in 25 acres of indigenous coastal forest where silken-coated Colobus monkeys play. There are 37 bedrooms including beach cottages; all fabulously designed and very roomy. Dining options include an al fresco restaurant offering Thai cuisine and. Watersport fans will be delighted by the activities available such as game fishing and diving. The Mombasa Leisure Golf Club is very close by.

Days 1 to 3: Nairobi
On your arrival at Nairobi airport, we will ‘Meet and Greet’ you and transfer you by private car to the House of Waine for a three-night stay with breakfast. Rounds of golf at Muthaiga and Karen GC transfers are included.

Days 4 to 6: Mara
Early in the morning you will be transferred to Wilson airport for your flight to Mara. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Richard’s Camp. Three nights on full-board with game drives and park fees are included.

Days 7 to 9: Mombasa
Time to leave the Masai Mara for your flight via Nairobi to Mombasa. On arrival you will be transferred to The Sands. Three nights on halfboard with two rounds at Leisure Golf Club with transfers are included.

Day 10: Departure
Transfer to Mombasa airport for your return flight back to the UK via Nairobi.
