One of the very best courses in the south-west of France, Lacanau is a wonderful pine forest layout quite similar to Hardelot Les Pins in Northern France.

Lacanau has several memorable holes and a high standard of maintenance. Tall pines, dog-legs and an abundance of clever sand traps are apparent but you may also have to play against the breezes coming from the mile-distant Atlantic! In fine condition, never too difficult and always enjoyable, Lacanau is good enough to play all week long. Fairly flat. 30 miles west of Bordeaux.
