This undulating course was designed by Seve Ballesteros and Dave Thomas and meanders through the firs, silver birches, heaths and heathers which are natural to the area. Each hole presents the golfer with a different challenge and the course features a succession of tournament-style holes including the 4th with its two water hazards and the 6th with its cunningly-placed bunker in front of the green. The 15th is widely acknowledged as the signature hole; aptly named The Waterfall, it is a teasing 165 yard Par 3 with the green set against a rock face and surrounded by a burn.
